Choi Hong-Kee

Abstract
This study addresses the third-party evaluation methods for social welfare facilities in Korea. Although studies and researches of third-party evaluation methods for Korean social welfare facilities are developing, it is fact that many problems are found at various sectors as well. If such evaluation methods apply to the fourth social welfare evaluation without cautions, the question of feasibility to the methods will arise from different institutions. Japan¡¯s third-party evalutaion method, applying to the area of nurturing, child care, elderly care and even to colleges with a great sucess to date, is studied and discussed in this study. Also for the credibility¡¯s sake, a comparison is made between data both from OECD and Japan so that this study might make a good contribution to the development of evaluation system on Korean social welfare facilities.
